Review of Tears for Nanertak by Skip Hofstrand

This book is aimed at children however it is a sweet short novel for any age. The message of this book will affect anyone, no matter what age you are.

This book will also teach children about the effects of global warming and what it is doing to the polar animals.

It is a cute novel of a poor polar bear and her cub and their journey when their polar homeland starts to melt. Throughout the book Nanuck is crying because she and her cub have to leave their Arctic homeland.

Personally I feel that this book would be more effective if adults read this book with children as the message might not be clear for some children to understand.

This book could also be used in schools as a discussion point to help children understand about global warming.

The water-colours throughout this book are beautiful.

I received this book for review from the publisher via bostick communications.

4/5 stars
