Violet Willoughby doesn't believe in ghosts, however her mother works as a fraudulent medium. Violet has taken part in enough of her mother's faked seances that she don't believe in anything supernatural.
However the ghosts believe in her, one ghost in particular and it is left to Violet to uncover the ghosts murderer.
I loved the fact that this book was set in 1872 and the detail of that period. Violet is a great strong character. I also fell in love wth Colin as a character.
Even though I loved this book, at times I got slightly confused with some of the words.
This is the first book I have read by this author and would probably read other books by her in the ghost Genre.
